Terms of use
These terms apply when you open an account with Silvermere Bank and use online banking. Please read them before you sign up.

Your account
You must give us true and complete details when you open an account, and keep them up to date. Changes to your name, email, phone, address, or date of birth are requested in Settings and reviewed by our team.
We may ask you to verify your identity at any time. Until your identity is verified, a lower daily sending limit applies.
Keeping your profile safe
- Keep your password, sign in PIN, and transaction PIN to yourself. Do not write them down where someone else could find them.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else knows them, or if you see activity you do not recognise.
- After five wrong sign in PINs, your profile locks and our team must unlock it. After five wrong transaction PINs, payments pause for 15 minutes.
Payments
Every payment you make must be confirmed with your transaction PIN. Transfers to other customers of the bank complete straight away. International transfers, bill payments, and check deposits are reviewed by our team before they complete, and we may hold, approve, or decline them. If we decline a payment, any money we held is returned to your account.
Payments are limited to your daily sending limit. We may change your limit, and we tell you when we do.
Interest and fees
You can read how our fees work on the accounts, cards, and borrowing pages. Rates, fees and limits can change from time to time, so the amount that applies to you is always shown in online banking before you confirm a payment or an application.
Cards
Cards are issued after our team approves your application. A card spends only the money you have moved onto it. You can freeze a card, set its daily limit, or report it lost in online banking. A card reported lost is blocked for good.
Loans, grants, and tax refunds
Every application is reviewed by our team, and we may approve it, change the amount or terms, or decline it. We tell you the outcome and, if we decline, the reason. Approved loans must be repaid according to the monthly payment shown when the loan is approved. You may repay early at any time without a fee.
When we may restrict an account
We may freeze, restrict, or close an account to protect you or the bank, for example if we suspect fraud, if we cannot verify your identity, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we tell you why.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
